INDOOR DINING

As of September 22nd 2021,

Shy's Place assumes that all guests who are booking

indoor dining

are aware of all current government mandates. 

 

Mobility

Our venue has two levels with no accessible entrance to the SECOND floor. 

If there are any mobility restrictions or concerns it is the guests responsibility to alert our team so we can best accommodate you. 

Face Coverings

As per the City of Hamilton By-Law 20-155, a mask or face covering is required in enclosed public spaces. As per this by-law, it is stated "it is vital that no member of the public be denied entry or stigmatized if they are unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a listed exemption." As such, we welcome all guests who may be exempt and we have several staff who are exempt. 

You may be served by a staff without a face covering.

By booking a reservation with us, we assume you and your guests are aware of and comfortable with our policy.

YEAR ROUND PATIO

 

Shy's will be working to create a #greatcanadianpatio experience this fall/winter.

Our plans include installing a tent for the fall months, and winterizing sections of our patio for the colder months.

With most guests feeling best outdoors, and how much we love our patio, we are excited to offer a new and innovative outdoor experience for all. 

With heaters, fire pits, blankets, and some extra special touches, we're looking so forward to enjoying our patio all year long!

SEATING TIMELines

     

 All tables will be advised of a time line for dining. These timelines are as follows: 

All tables will be allotted 1.5 hours to dine.

Timelines in place to allow us to accommodate as many guests as possible to join us, and to ensure we are able to have enough time to clean and reset tables without causing any crowding. 
 

RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED
 

 Although we will always try to accommodate any guest who joins us, we may not be able to seat walk-in guests.

We strongly recommend making a reservation in advance. If you are uncomfortable with any of our reservation policies, please feel free to drop in without a reservation!

We will do our best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee availability. 

 

Your reservation will be considered confirmed once you have spoken directly to someone on our hostess team via phone, or through e-mail confirmation, or through TOCK

Parties of 5+ cannot book through TOCK and can contact the restaurant directly for availability.

Please note all parties of 5+ will have an automatic 20% gratuity applied to the final bill after taxes.

Our seating is limited to 6 guests per table maximum.

 

We will happily hold your table for a maximum of 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes if we do not hear from you, you will be considered a no-show.
Please be sure to give us a call/ email if you are running late so we can do our best to accommodate you. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

All in house bookings will require a credit card on file in the event of a no-show, or alteration/cancellation of your reservation with less than 24 hours notice.

You are able to transfer your reservation to another guest.

There is a $40 per person fee in the event of no-show/cancellation with less than 24 hours notice.

 We understand that sometimes things happen out of our control.

Our team will do our best to work with you to come up with a solution that works for you!

We appreciate your understanding of this policy as we do our best to protect our staff and our business.

All bookings on TOCK will require a deposit to be pre-paid.

Once your reservation has been made, the TOCK platform does not allow you to alter it.

Please contact us directly to make any changes- we will be happy to help any way we can!

The deposit paid via TOCK will be deducted from your final bill.

TOCK Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.
